I understand you wanting a fresh start, and I understand you wanting to increase your rating. But understand this. If you play against stronger players you will always loose more than you win. This is how you improve. Don't focus too much on your rating, focus more on improving your game, and have fun playing the game. No need to quit because your rating is not increasing. Instead, put a plan in place to improve your game. Like everything else, the more you put into your chess...the stronger you will get.

Agreed, a couple of years ago I was terrible. Now I'm an ok USCF tournement player ☺. Thanks everyone for posting! Especially METAPHORE.
