Why is Bd7 a blunder?

So I have been playing the game chess for two decades, I have been studying chess for about two months. So sorry if the answer to this question is obvious to everyone else.

After playing this game I used the analysis tool to see how I did, and was surprised that the computer counted Bd7 as a blunder and said the best move was c6.

By my eye, all c6 would have done was give me a pawn and a rook after the fork....

Obviously the computer is much better than me, but huh?

Best wishes,

There is no need to ask this sort of tactical question if you have a chess engine.  Something simple like Droidfish or Smallfish for your phone will do.  You just set the position up and play through the various options.  The whole process will take less time than your post once the app is downloaded and you spend 5 minutes learning how to use it.

I also have the sense that this is within your ability to figure out just by setting up the board and moving the pieces around.  That would probably be the best way to learn from this.
