Why is this position -2 in black's favor?

While analyzing my 10min game I was surprised to find that I was -2 out of the opening, but I don't have a single clue as to why. (black to move)

Sure, white's pieces aren't coordinated very well (e2 knight would like to be on f3), but white's about to play something like f5 and he takes a lot of space. Meanwhile the engine continuation just says black should simply castle (I played Qc7 in this position). After castling white simply castles and I'm not sure why it's -2 for black. I know black's a little better in this position but I don't really know why it's as much as 2 pawns worth.

Here is the original game if anyone cares

White bishop dead imo

yeah but black can't really prevent an f5 push in the near future which activates the bishop, and if f5 can't be done he can always just play some maneuver like Be3-f2-h4

JackRoach

After f5, though, the Bishop will live again.

SpacePodz

I think It's due to the bishop being trapped

SpacePodz

or almost traped

sndeww

yeah but the trapped bishop is a temporary thing, and it's pretty common in the stonewall anyways.

The Knight will take a few moves to develop as well, without completely blocking in the Bishop.

MegaCharizardLeo

Black is winning because he has pressure on d4 and the dark squared bishop is locked. He/she can also do Ne4, taking the center.

JackRoach

Ne4 immediately doesn't look good.

Hey royal any thoughts ?

IHaveTheSauce

I'm pretty sure it's because the pawn on f4 isn't actually that good, it's just weak

That’s what I tried to do when I played Qc7, but engine says castling is much stronger and I don’t know why

Engines seem to over-exaggerate at times, but I guess black has much easier development than black? Also, the c5 break can cause chaos on the queenside once their rook takes over the file? Idk

Maybe an idea would be c4 and use a strategy sort of like in the anti-London (I think) where you try to trade queens, play on the queenside, and go to the endgame? Or maybe try playing the maximum computer as white and see how it'll punish you for your position.
