Queen sac on move 23 was unneccessary - 23...Qe4 was OK.
Your main error was 27...fg4??. Instead, 27...Rh2+, 28. Kg1 Rxg4, 28. Qxg4 fg4, would give you extra piece in an easy ending.

20. ... Nxd4 was a good move I don't understand 23. ... Qxh4 I guess you didn't see that he can shield h2 by playing Rf4. You could resign after Rf4.
move 20 nxd4 was a strong move, I think it was anything but a blunder, and helped you gain a pawn, and remove a defended.
move 23 qxh4 I would say is a mistake, although it removes one of the defenders from the opposing king you don't have the right colored bishop to mate your opponenent
move 26 you should have took the rook sac
move 34, ya you could resign at that point unless your opponenent has time trouble
Thank you all for your great responses.
Caliphigia, you're correct. I didn't realise just how close I came to winning the game before I started going the other way!
RathHood, looking back at the game now, I myself don't understand why I sacrificed my queen that way, and it looks as if that was my very worst blunder.
Paulgottlieb, thanks for your long and detailed analysis with a number of great suggestions which I am definitely going to take more time to study.
I finally resigned this losing game, but I thought I had started out reasonably well and then I must have blundered badly. I'm still a beginner and can't find my own blunders. I would appreciate any constructive criticism, because I'm sure I can learn something from this. I am playing black - caption should have read: Stronger Opponent v. Dillydream.
