Interesting game , one suggestion is to develop all your peices. Your rook and bishop was out of pictures until the endgame. I have analyzed your game and given few suggestions on critical stages.
If you have any questions about analysis or game feel free to ask.

I agree that my development was definitely a problem, but I think that my lack of development isn't atrocious, as it is a closed position which is very difficult to open (as the pawn chains are locked).

A favorite match of mine. I start off well but blunder my queen away, but after careful play with both of my rooks, I was able to ladder mate my opponent. I'm hoping you can point out key flaws in my gameplay. Personally, I find that sometimes I'll commit to an attack early on, and I think that this is what that match evolved into.

You should improve position of your peices, when there is nothing better to do. Sure he can't attack you, but you also don't have enough resources to create any problems on queenside. Best was to play 12.Nec6, but you could also move e7 knight on 13,14 or 16th move also. I can't see how else you could make progress.

you hang your queen  by taking a knight that is guarded by a bishop one square away!! MAN! How can you be so dumb??

I ask myself the same thing. I think this is the first time I've done something dumb like this.

Fortunately I was able to win even with that deficit, but that move was stupid.

Pot calling the kettle black.

Kindly don't be too harsh on anybody.

@EthanJF First of all I would advise you to practice tactics and check for blunder I.e. check if something is hanging before each move. Going through all your game wouldn't help unless you stop hanging peices/ take opponent's hanging peices.

Now coming to game of course losing queen like that is more than a blunder. So you should not be proud of this match because you only won because of your opponent's worst possible play.

Instead 22. Rc4 will win the bishop. Your opponent gifted you chance to take his queen too by 26. R8c3 and in the next move R8c4.

It is clear after watching the match that you atleast know how to use peices ( I can't say that about your opponent). Which means by just checking blunders after each move your rating will climb up.

I played as black. I know there was one stupid blunder of mine in the game itself, and in the end he could take my knight, but then I was under pressure (15 minutes +10sec)

I hope you could help me and give a review on this happy.png

You should annotate your game or write your thoughts in comment if you want  proper analysis. See post #1 it is necessary condition.

I'm sorry, I edited my comment so the game is annotated.

This has to be the WORST loss I've ever endured, and it mentally affected me, it's worse than the first time I ever fell for a fool's mate. I had a +5 plus advantage even when my opponent sac'd his queen for mine, I think I messed everything up when I got my queen into a forced sacrifice because of what he did. but I'd still like some more advice and insight on EXACTLY where everything got messy, in my eyes...his bishops became worth as much as queens because of that late game board control, and I'm sorry, I am still not sure how to annotate my own games.

Sorry to say you don't even know meaning of annotation. It means you add comments and your thoughts about position. You don't have to add comments on each move, just critical points. If you don't know how to annotate just write in comment

for example at move no #  this was my plan or you can ask questions about specific points/moves in match. It takes time to analyze the game, so if I am putting time and effort, then I expect you also to put some time into it, then only it will help you. Look at how Iamunknown2 posted the game.

You haven't even posted the game and expecting me to analyze your game.
