thanks i was proud of myself for seeing it, seeming im often scared of losing my queen for nothing..
a nice little trap

thank you for the comments all, wondering if there would have been any disadvantage if he would have taken my knight..

well yes, he avoids the mate by Nxe5 instead of Bxd1 but you still have the better position.
Better to me was to play 9. Bxf7+ ! instead of 9. h3. Now if he accepts the piece that Nxe5 is double check and you win the bishop on g4. This is less elegant than how the game finished, but it is better because instead of 9. ... Bh5 he plays 9. ... Be6 and the position is closer to equal again with slight advantage to you.
Even more, if like in the game 9. ... Bh5 then 10. Nxe5 Nxe5 11. Qxh5 Nf6 12. Qf5 Nxc4 13. dxc4 and yea...you're up a pawn but you have two sets of doubled pawns and black will simply castle and I don't really think Black is in much trouble there. That being said, White is still much better and the idea is to simply play c5 to undouble your c-file pawns and then play for e5 and use the open files to your advantage. But, the situation after 9. Bxf7+! is an easier win for White. Play could possibly continue: 9. ... Kd7 10. h3 Bxf3 11. Qxf3 and now you have a clever mating threat with Be6!! and you will mate on f7 so the King must run again to c8 and white is just dominating this game.
a nice little trap i used recently i worked it out in a minute or 3 and put it all on conditional moves, and i was pleased to find the game won when i logged in today
