A perfect game?

Ok, so for me, this is the closest to a perfect game I've ever been. I definitely couldn't see any mistakes. Also, there was a huge amount of pressure riding on this game. The winner would get a spot on the UW-Madison 12 person chess squad for an upcoming match. Also, if I win this one, my rating should bounce above 1500 USCF for the first time in my young chess career.

EDIT: My note on 44. Ke6 is wrong. The continuation is discussed in comments section

Notable is that this was a g/90 game. Ratings are USCF.

A somewhat good game

your note to the 44th move is wrong...Even IF you could sacrifice the exchange, you would have a rook pawn and you damn better have already shouldered the king away from the pawn cause the rook pawns are difficult to get through.

cool that was quite a long game though

Right. It's more of a plan, and I'm going to win the pawn on g6. My note was what I was thinking during the game, but I may have a mate upcoming.

you could actually win the pawn by sacrificing the exchange.  However that would be a theoritically drawn position.   The passed pawn can't queen and if you exchange it off for the last black pawn then the black king can easily get to the corner before you can, creating a draw.

Edit..now that I look at it again I think you do get to the corner first.

Look at my live rating, I don't play correspondence with enough seriousness to match USCF.

After 44...Kh7 I just play 45.Kf7 g5   46.Rg6 Bh6   now black is in zugzwang 47. Rg8 does the trick.
