11...Rg8 was good, followed by 12...Bxg2 I would think. This might explain why he didn't take your pawn.
Cool game.

You can actually win a piece on move 38: 38... Qe1+ followed by 39... Qf2+ (you will be able to check on g2 or f3 and then play Bxa8).
Thanks tonydal. Didn't see that one. =)

You are right Rg8 would've been good. Unfortunately I had missed that one. Thanks though!
Winning a "won game" is but a matter of technique. After 16.Nd5 Qc5+ 17.Nc3 White being a N up has a "won game"
The technique of winning a won game where one is a piece up is to (1) trade pieces (2) activate all pieces (3) occupy diagonals, files, or squares by trading a piece.
(1) "Trading pieces". After 25.Qc7+ Kf8, an idea would be 26.Qb8+ g8 27.Qd5 removing the Qs from the board. White's g-pawn is immune from capture for after 27...Bxg7 28.Rg1 the B is toast.

Hi yeres. This sounds more like suggestions for White rather than for myself (Black). Nevertheless, the lines you suggest looks awesome! Had White take on those moves, I would've been screwed big time! Thanks!
9...Qxa1 looks pretty good. Move 14. Rad8 is good but even better IMO is 0-0-0. This is what I saw that didn't seem to have been covered. Other than that, it was an interesting game!

Hello waller! I think the reason why castling QS wasn't covered was because white's queen on g3 was preventing it. In fact, castling on either side for me was not an option for the very same reason. Thanks for the comment though. =)
ps: you are right, 9...Qxa1 was a very obvious move that i completely overlooked =( oh well, like i said in the thread topic: what could've been a simple game for me, turned out to be complicated.

Cheers for the response!
However, the g3 queen is not preventing qs castling as the K doesn't pass through b8!

Oh wow my bad! You are right and I learnt something new today. That was so embarrassing not to know such a basic rule. Apologies and thanks!
Hello guys! I've got a game here which could've been nice and simple, but I had to make it complicated. For some reason, on move 16, I decided not to capture white's knight, and instead hitting a check on the king, allowing the knight to retreat from my queen's line of fire and simultaneously defending the king.
From then onwards, I thought the game was exciting, at least for me. Feel free to comment or give suggestions! I personally enjoyed the end game, with white's pawn already promoted to queen, albeit for a short stint!
Enjoy!
