All you had to do was annotate the Chess game. We don't need the moves in the forum or what the game review said. Not the biggest deal but next time, if you are showcasing one of your Black games, perhaps flip the board before posting it so we can see it from your perspective

I don't play the Dutch myself but I don't understand why you played 2...d6. I know Simon Williams likes to go for the Classical with ...e6 or other players have gone with the Leningrad with ...g6 but that move looks weird. Some annotations would have been nice so we could all understand how you felt about the game and what makes this so special or what you were thinking througout

Hi! First of all, thank you for seeing my game and comment. I'm not good of annotating my games but I will try to explain what I thought in my moves.

2. ...d6 is a propylaxis move to prevent knight from e5 to post where it can felt its power on the center. As you will see in my other games, I always move ...d6 when I played black. I just move this where it comes from my repertoire and that is the Philidor defense. As you will notice in all of my games, it is just the same moves but in different opening or variation in every game where I used Philidor defense in either black or white. Try to see it in My Topic section and you will notice the Philidor defence there.

Another is I almost or always in opening my game with Dutch Defense when Queen's pawn Opening is used by other player. I do this because it is seldom play by many chess player to out of the book them or outplayed them in their opening repertoire.

Simply said, I have my self opening and I seldom use the usual opening or the book moves or variation.

Here is all in my thought in playing my chess games.

There is not especial on this game but we played it in under just 30 minutes, more or less. I just want to see by other chess player my self opening repertoire.

In that case, I wouldn't worry about the Nf3 move by playing ...d6. Sure it's fine but I feel like you could play a move like ...e6 or ...g6 so you can develop your bishop and then castle before going for an attack on the center. I would recommend you check out the Classical Dutch by Simon Williams and try to put all his variations/games into a study on Lichess so you can always go back to it. Take notes about anything important he says about a certain position or any plans you want to embark on.

A lot of people may think that studying openings is bad for your level but I see nothing wrong with finding a good plan out of the opening and through the middlegame. Also, it may not be a bad thing to have a little variety in your repertoire. At least for me when I was at your level I played Queen's Gambit, French/Taimanov, Semi-Slav. Different styles and it really helped improve my chess.

I also struggle with annotations but I am trying to play longer games and really try to think of the best continuation/plan and after the game, try to write my thoughts and possible variations before checking with the engine. You can learn a lot by doing so
