Don't get your queen out too early!

I am black and this is an easy win, because he gets the queen out too early.  After move 9 I did mean the fork is at c2 not c7!

What about 5. Bxf7ch?

He obviously didn't notice that!  My response to that would have been not to take the bishop with my knight but to move my king to d7.

6. Bg5ch

His dark squared bishop to g5 wouldn't be check if my King was then on d7.

Yes. You would have beat me blowerd. I think you should get those rating pointsSmile

Is this sarcasm? If so I don't get the joke. You clearly did confuse e7 with d7.

Actually 5 Qg5 does look a way out (although its hard to spot I certainly didn't expect he would do it) and he didn't.

I use to get my queen out as well, but since then I have learnt to only use it once knights and bishops are developed.

Certainly after the first 4 moves though I think it surprised white that I could play that so easily, it was almost as if I was expecting the moves.

tryst thanks for the virtual win!

Why wouldn't you expect him to save his queen at G5?

Brilliant show of the principal not to take out queens too early!!

Remember, it is only 1-0 your favor. The next game you put up I could win and send it to tie-breakersSmile

Not much to see, really. 5. Bg5?? is just a blunder that drops a bishop.

I'll admit that white's opening wasn't great, though. He could definitely improve on 4. d3?! at least.

This is example of exception to this rule everyone must know.
