Well, a number of mistakes in the middlegame, but the checkmate was great! And who doesn't blunder a few? 
Your opponent's problem seems to have been, as you said, "chomp chomp." He went for material, you for position.

first win this year, well first game as well so swings and roundabouts

thanks leo, its not bad seeing as i havn't been playing for long, but the odd thing was at the end the guy said he was quite strong but that i was stronger as i beat him, but other than the wonderful checkmate that i had brewing for a while i don't think i'm strong at all.
Yep mistake all round a few by him and a few by me but it all came together in the end, proving again i'm oddly better with black than white.
He was a good loser though some people would trip the winner up on his victory lap but not this guy.
OK so heres the game round. I won this one and the much more important friendly game after all the while playing songs into the bar from the jukebox. Here it is.
