I was going to post this as another diary entry, but I think the game seems good enough to place here instead. It hasn't been analyzed properly so if you do spot any mistakes please let me know as these annotations are only from my thoughts during the game. Hopefully my coach will go over it with me on the weekend so I'll make any corrections after that.

nice crush. after 29. Rf1, were you planning on playing Qa2? 29. Re1?, however, is probably preferable to the slow death your mobile central pawn mass was bound to inflict.

Thanks. No, Qxe3.

I presume you mean Re2? If so, yes a quicker death would probably be preferable. :)

Nice. Although I think I would have played 18...Nd3 instead as you mentioned. You lose some pressure on the light squares, but you target f2 even more strongly, and can if you want pick up the rook (I think I would keep the knight).

Yes, the more I look at it, the more I prefer Nd3. If he plays 19.Re2 how could I pick up the Rook?

Edit:

26.Bc2 also seems to pick up more material easily.

Another Edit:

Actually I'm not so sure that 18.Nd3 19.Re2 c5 20.Rd2 e4 21.Ne1 would be any better than my line... Undecided Maybe 18.Nd3 19.Re2 Ne4 20.Qc2 Nec5 would be another way to continue, but I still don't prefer it. With 18.Bd3 19.Ne4 can't be prevented and it seems even more crushing, with my other Knight standing on c5 stopping him from protecting his c3 Knight...

Ok, so I analyzed the game with my coach yesterday (rated over 2400 FIDE) and these are the inaccuracies he picked up on: 23.Bc4, Even though it's not bad. He said Rab8-b2 introducing my worst posted piece into the attack was even better. The unbearable pressure on his position should bear even more fruit than possibly winning another pawn by keeping it on a8. Also, even though 28.Be4 was completely winning 28.Nb2 would have been even simpler 29.Qc1 Rxf3 30.Bxf3 Qxf3+ 31.Kg1 Be4.

EDIT: He also liked 18.Bd3.
