This is why you play till the end!

I don't get it? Why is playing a mate in 1 such an achievement--you are a class A player are you not?
And why shouldn't you play on when neither side had much of an advantage?

Whole game looked pretty much equal-ish to me as well. Black was in fact winning 24..Nxc6 free queen?
I also fail to see the hype of a 1800 player finding mate in 1 with the most obvious check available. That's like a 300 rated puzzle rush lol. Not that I haven't missed mate in 1 before but then again, is this really bragging material for 1800s?
Dude's just starving for attention so he decided to try and troll a bit

it was a drawn position and I managed to checkmate with a knight. If you don't know if checkmatin' with a knight is somewhat an achievement, check out chessbrah

I'm not bragging material for 1800's, I'm showing this game because I had blundered several times and did not take a free queen. It was supposed to be a draw but somehow, I managed to checkmate him.
We both had less than 20 sec so we premoved (obviously) and I caught his kf3 premove with ne1. That's why I feel good

Delete your OP. Replace it with this.
Now your title makes sense. You're welcome.

Well I did include that we both had less than 20sec in the op

Hmm. Maybe I wasn't clear.
Nobody in their right mind has ever resigned a game when their opponent has only 20 seconds left in the middlegame. This whole thread is ridiculous.

Maybe you didn't see the game, I checkmated him with a knight when it was drawn

If a game is drawn--one cannot checkmate with anything. Come on--you don't know what "drawn" means? Was it "drawn" when you did not take the free knight??

when did I not take the free knight? I missed a queen not a knight. Before checkmate, I insisted that the position was drawn dearest @Ponz

nothing is ever drawn under 30 seconds

No I didn't, because the game doesn't matter. Everything I said remains true. Just swap out "resign" for "agree to a draw", or whatever English makes the most sense. Like Biz just said (and everybody else in this thread for that matter), the game isn't drawn when there are 20 seconds on the clock. The clock is a part of the game too, or why is it there?

You are right it was not a knight you did not take--it was a queen.
However it was a very poorly played game until you found a very obvious move.
Why publish such a poorly played game? Do you think finding one very obvious move redeems all the bad play??
My suggestion--find a game you played well before you publish?
