I found it to be a very effectively opened up game that was exciting and fun to watch. White maintained his initiative throughout. I'm just a budding novice finding my way about the chessboard. I hope to be able to play with such alackrity some day.
H-file experiment
Sort:
I like to take a few notes on every game I play, particularly if anything interesting happens. This was an unfamiliar opening pattern for me, but after a shaky back and forth and some small errors by my esteemed opponent, I decided to force open the h-file and see what emerged.
Got myself into an awkward situation with some lost tempo, but I think you will find the finale worthwhile.
My take-away was to think more about bishop placement with respect to trying to open up files for attacking the king. Any thoughts?
