Nice!
Holy crap, I managed to beat a 1101-rated player
Thanks. I do understand that this is a rare anomaly akin to the time Alireza blundered his rear end off and lost to someone rated way below him, but I'm still pleased.
Why did you play probably the worst first move in chess?
Just curiosity. I like how the fianchetto openings look visually, even though there's a good reason I don't use them on my main.
I do think we could use more options than just beginner, intermediate or advanced.
I listed myself as intermediate because otherwise I might get paired up with 100s who have only been on the site five minutes, and that's a bit unfair.
But 'intermediate' is 1000 and up lol

Beginner = 100-800 Advanced Beginner = 801 - 1000 Intermediate = 1001 - 1700 Advanced = 1701 - 2200 Ok, I think I got something kinda wrong so I won't continue
Perhaps I failed to notice something, but those are still huge categories. Be easier to just give your rating if you have one.
rating where?
you then have to specify whether its here (and what time control) or somewhere else online or otb...
(and these are useful when just talking about big groups of people like "beginners hang pieces too much" or whatever)
and the thing is
move that pawn one square please
thats just much better
fianchetto openings arent bad
this one is
also, no need to be that specific
whats the difference in 10 or so this way or the other
"1100 rated player" is just much better here imo
and if its about the chess.com entry thing...
one entry point is best
five, which you can choose from is a bit much (and naming them using descriptive terms and not ratings is just more new person friendly (what is 400? is it good or bad?))
now we should be able to fully customise the rating?
if youre so concerned just go there after a few games (glicko is your friend here) and prove you can keep it

I'm like intermediate but advanced at the same time wtf
I told you, I wasn’t sure if I got it right
no this is pretty accurate but i only just realized the rating difference between my blitz and my rapid (600 elo)
There's a guy who made a forum post about being 2000 Rapid and 1300 Blitz. that's worse.
Oh my goodness, that's a crazy difference, yeah

But...I did specify exactly what happened and in what context.
I'm rated 628.
I got accidentally matched with someone 1101 rated on my alt, and won.
I understand that this is a rare anomaly and I would lose a rematch with this person.
It's still something to be proud of. A tilted 1101 is still a 1101.
Why not be specific?
Haha.....tilt can definitely wreck you. For me I can drop, idk, 400+ points in performance level if under suboptimal conditions. Oh well, it was a nice game mostly (except yeah, you want to move the pawn one square not two)
i never said anything about tilt
also, i guess now we take 30.587635 seconds to eat a single slice of bread
why not be specific (this is a joke but still no need to remember the whole thing and why are you getting so defensive)

I have an alt account that I opened so that I can mess around and experiment with weird openings and not risk squandering elo on my main. I like fianchetto type openings but I admit I have no idea what to do with them, so I thought it best to do that on a spare account.
I played my first game as 'syntheticadrenaline' using a right sided fianchetto opening - I forget its name - and after I won I found out he was rated 1101! I'm fully aware that this is a rare anomaly and he was probably just tired, distracted or otherwise tilted, but...Still proud. I'm rated 628 right now!
