Lucario vs Toshineko.

That was also a great game to choose, I was stunned when I first saw it.

I think so too. The way White forced Black into a very passive, defensive position and with the absolute forcing move and brilliant queen sacrifice for a forced mate was simply ingenious, and one that I think would be a perfect choice for Lucario to outwit Toshineko with his play.

Plus, the picture of Lucario and Toshineko playing chess had a different position than this one, so I think I should've included this position in that picture, since it's more realistic.

Poor Nikolov. He lost one of the most beautiful, romantic games of the year, and now he will mostly be remembered for this loss.

Yeah, he did. But, at least his opponent gave him a brilliant challenge.

And at least it makes Lucario own Toshineko chess style.

Different position indeed, so which one is real?

I would say the one that I annotated and showed on the top page. The position in this picture couldn't be found on any chess games or opening explorer system, so I figured this one must be custom.

It was probably purposefully hidden to avoid embarrasement. 

And it was blitz, so no scorebook.
