My Best Game Ever... probably

This was a 15-minute game. Basically I am just proud of my final few moves.

You just need to look one move ahead.
18...Kf8 19. Re8+ Kg7 20. Rg8+

Very good move with 18.Re5. This is a unique way to win the Queen. What was with 12...g6, in the first place, though? 12...h6 would have been just fine. Nicely played.

I agree. 12...h6 could have saved Black.

A lovely game of which you are justly proud. As soon as I saw (g6) I knew the game was over (dark squared weaknesses and no bishop to defend them). Have you noticed how useless black's queenside army was? Well done mate!
Oh, by the way, do you think 33. Re6 would work?

Believe it or not, d5 is the kind of move Black wants, because your center is looser...it leaves potholes for knights to jump into, and now you have to work to strengthen the pawn...d5 would be better later... not dissing your win though...congrats on the win!

you say this is a 15 minute game.......so you obviously didnt see this 4 move combo coming. If this assumption is correct (probably is since your rating on this site is 1300 or so) then is not not due to a bit luck that you played Re5 (which in my opinion) does absolutely nothing if you didnt see the threat of this combo. a) because it blocks the direct route of your queen in the direction of his king b) Puts your rook in a pin which could be exploited by black possibly c) Seems to put your rook in a place that does mostly what it does already taking up the main squares/file.
this puts me into thinking it was in fact a series of lucky (maybe not great) moves that led you to position that gave you the possible combination of winning the queen. im so tired i cant even remember what i was saying a min ago.damn exams
Was it really your best game ever???

Thanks, madpawn.
Are you sure you meant 33. Re6? The game only lasted 20 moves.
Sorry mate I clicked that many times on the diagram - I meant 17. Re6, which seems quite confounding -try it and let me know!

Don't judge me by my rating on this site. When I started playing on chess.com, I started like 8-10 simultaneous games and then I got really bored of turn-based games so I abandoned them all. My rating on Chessmaster is over 1600.
By the way, 15 minutes aren't too less to sort out this winning combination. When you have a positional advantage (like your pieces around the enemy King and an undefended 8th rank), you can 'feel' that there must be something you can do.

im going by your highest rating which is 1400 and the average players you play and your highest win! all around 1400.my rating on this site is 1750 atm and yet im only 1400 in real life.internet ratigns are always much higher than real life ratings....in my experience.
Are you saying you planned this manouevre a few moves in advance???
if so fairplay i just find it hard to believe.but anyone of any ability is capable of good moves i am aware.
