Just realized it could have been one move sooner...

I think move 4.g4 was a blunder if not at least a mistake. You should have lost that pawn to Black's Light-square Bishop. And 5.h4 leaves your Knight unprotected had Black played 5...Bxg4, pinning your knight to your Queen.

Having said that, Black wasted too much time pushing pawns and not developing pieces.

A little advice: Don't leave pieces or pawns unprotected.

Now, you should be proud of that checkmate. I know plenty of people at 1000 level who would have missed that.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I make a mistake every game I play. So, don't think I'm bashing your game. Just offering a little friendly advice.
