Yep, that's it. Well, maybe the pattern is fairly standard but I never encountered it before and it seems so ridiculous to simply make kamikaze sacrifices with your last two remaining pieces.

It is cool. You don't see this kind of thing very often but if the king is stalemated there may be a chance to pull it off. Keep it in mind if things are getting desperate. It's happened in a few GM games also Evans - Reshevsky is one I remember seeing.
