I think because of the way my opponent set up their pawn structure..... my dark-squared bishop controlled all the queenside pawns and i made the light square bishop contol the g6 square, so that they couldnt even move the kingside pawns

Yeah, the two bishops really show their power in this game. Black's rook is powerless to fight them.
Yes, generally i do not know how to use the two bishops..... but it worked out in this game

I think because the bishops could control lot of good squares, and not allow any counterplay from black..
