My shortest and strangest game. Might not be considered a miniature because my opponent resigned despite that I didn't necessarily have a decisive advantage (this was a Blitz game between ~950 ELO players).

@normrocks just a suggestion, 5. ... Qh6! is a great intermezzo move to grab a free tempo in that line of the Scotch happy.png

EDIT: It seems that in the 11...Qxd4 line White mates with 14.Qc8+, and thus 13...Ne7 should be preferred for Black; but then 14.Rd1! is deadly.

Tetra_Wolf

This is one of my games from many years back when my USCF was 1000, and I was playing with 2.0/2 against the other person (1050) with 2.0/2 in a quad. He was so focused on the prize that he offered me a draw before the game so we could share the prize. However, in this #9, I took it.

I came up with #5 once (between 2 novices maybe?)

Crapablanka
kind of a miniature. 21 move game from an otb tournament I played in a few weeks ago

In this game there's a cute tactic that shows Black's error in taking the pawn.

Checkmate in 8 moves with the black pieces. Same pattern as post #8108. Didn't think I was gonna repeat it so soon!

My opinion--a "miniature" should have a set upper limit in moves. [maybe 20]

In most games by most people one side or the other has an advantage good enough to win by say the 14th move. [i know this opinion will upset some]
