Every one focus on openings not end games

You wouldn't believe how many draws I've turned in to wins just from studying fundamentals of endings.

I believe we have an Endgame section, right? I'd REALLY like if you started a thread covering draws turned into wins. I'd adore that! People can move their own threads but, AFAIK, moving it breaks any Notifications for folks Following you.

But you could start fresh thread and then paste anything from here to it. It is very cool concept.

ADDED: You could then change reference here to simply a pointer to that new thread. Just a thought!

So here is a nice Colle win. I actually have this listed as three separate and distinct openings but in the end, it transposes into a Colle where Black plays the c7-c5-c4 push.

This was a wild game. I saw someone try the Van Hennig style gambit against the French, so decided to give it a go. I'm glad my opponent actually allowed the checkmate.

If your going to play a main line in the Colle-Koltanowski .. A point to remember, things are going to get very tactical.

I still prefer the 9.b4 Rudel Attack over the Classical 9.e4 in the Nc6 main lines

It's kind of surprising that this still catches some fish. Another 13 mover.

The Colle is so easy to play against but 3. a6 isn't just a wasted move .... it's deliberately anti-positional. However, the Stonewall Attack is easier met (or even easier meat) than the Colle, to be fair. In both opnings black must be very precise and play the best moves. Black has to develop the K-side and not waste time with Nc6, which is probably the wrong square for it anyway.

When you are looking at your game, use the "share button", click "PGN", click the little double square at the bottom right to copy the PGN.
Then to post the game (say in a post here), create the post then click the "insert game" and paste the copied PGN into the obvious place, then press the "Add games" button, then the "Post button (some of which you already know wink.png ).

A nice attack, the final move especially was asthetically pleasing.

That was nice, was blacks blunder h6? The position just looks busted after f5 unless I'm missing smth

Sorry to go all the way back to post #1 but I'm wondering why it gives move 13 as brilliant. It's contrary to its M.O. since it has to be a sacrifice. I know the game was posted in 2011 but it's unlikely that out of date criteria will be used. That would involve running multiple programs.

Looking at it with bare eyes, I think black plays a succession of bad moves. I didn't like black's 8th at all. Black should be developing and not giving the centre to white. ....Bg4 at some stage might have helped black's cause too. By the time the Nf3 is unpinned it seems too late and black is dead.

Yeah dx is very strange. No clue what he thought was wrong with Qx

The exchange Slav is not one of the ideas I like to face after 2... c6, but I managed to capitalize on 2 missteps by White.
