To be fair, you were proving to him you don’t know how to checkmate. I would not have resigned because I thought you would tie via 50 moves, or time out.
Its not disrespectful to toy with an opponent who is in a lost position,
It is disrespectful to yourself and chess
as a whole. I will NEVER give a sadistic opponent the joy of taking every piece
then checkmating me with only seconds left on the clock. I do the honorable thing.
