Cheat detection? Couldn't Joe Smoe at chess simply have a Master play for him? How would they detect cheating then?
Proof that a 1000 player could beat Carlsen

@morethantwentycharac's comment was simply a joke. This game was obviously staged. (and, being unrated, there's nothing wrong with that)

Do you mean cheating is okay in unrated games?
Ethically, no, not if your opponent expects you to play yourself, but I don't think the site cares if you do. People can use unrated games to try different things like human/engine vs engine and practice / coaching games.

Engine use is permitted in unrated games if both players agree, but that's obviously not what was happening here.

I'm confused what is the purpose of the staged game?
Here's a topic that explains it:

"Ladies and gentlemen, let me present you with a 2300 point upset"

This actually proves that a 600-rated player could beat Carlsen. In bullet, anyway.
It proves nothing, and you know it.

I expected this to be a troll thread. All I found was some kind of joke.
You, sir, have trolled me with this nice clickbait.

ahhhhh!!! run for your lives guys!

h6 was played in 0.1 seconds. 1 minute chess, probably a pre-move - oops I didn't expect him to play 5 Qb3...
It would only be a roughly 1800-point upset. Very rare, but not impossible.
