Very nice. Good to see that smothered mate in a real game.

However, I don't think white's 17. Kg1 is a blunder. White only has two possible moves. 17. Kg1 leads to a smothered mate in only four moves. However, the alternative, 17. Rxf2 leads to mate quicker with 17. ... Qd1+ 18. Rf1 Qxf1++. Arguably, rather than being a blunder, 17. Kg1 is white's best move in the position.

I just wanted to see if White could avoid it and computer analysed it, it found that Kg1 yes is the best, but it found h4 escaping the mate but in a horrid position because d2 wins a piece.
