OTB game with 15 mins per side. I felt I played the opening all right. But, then my opponent made a couple large mistakes which I gladly took advantage of. Any comments about the opening a way black could have saved himself or otherwise are greatly appreciated.

Are you sure this is the Taimanov? It looks more like the Kan variation?

I am not sure it is the taimanov. As a matter of fact I am probably wrong. When I was studying them the author of the book kept on referring to the kan and taimanov and what is good what isn't etc.
I kept having to go back and cheat to figure out which one it is.
I don't remember names of openings very well. I once asked this guy to play a practice game in the italian game. About halfway through he informed me I wasn't playing an italian. I never liked labels anyways.
