Interesting. Is Kovacevic an attacker or strategist? It's hard to tell from this game.

Very nice pins. 22.e4!! is a very good move. Gives white extra space, and also penetrates deep into the opponent's camp; clamping down on the d5-square as well. Well played, indeed.

Well I've only seen a few of his Torre games, I should try to get hold of more. He seems to be a patient strategist. Apparantly somewhat of a Torre expert. The game itself isn't particularly special in itself, but the way he plays the typical Torre positions should be instructive to any budding Torre player.

Kovacevic beat Bobby Fischer at his prime in tournament in Rovinj - Croatia 1970. His achievements were astonishing considering that he was not professional. He was a high school teacher and journalist. He wrote 5 vol. books on endgame studies, great stuff...
