Yes, Vietcong plays chess. “Viet Cong” was commonly further shortened to “VC”, which in the phonetic alphabet is pronounced “Victor-Charlie”.

Nice switcheroo. But the original one showing had 15 stars (after the addition of Vermont and Kentucky).
