i know this. he blundered to allow a passed pawn which was the winning tactic for you. i was speaking in general, looking at this lone game, the flaw in your game was allowing your bishop to become so poor (positionally). a stronger opponent would have prevented the breakthough and taken advantage of the knight vs. bishop imbalance. even when you win there are lessons to be learned. as i said looking at this lone game, that is the area that i saw you could improve. if you already knew this information, then it wasnt shown in this game. advise is all i offer. bottom line you did win.

I see what you mean - but, as Anand says, "A bad bishop supports strong pawns." I thought it would be more important to keep my weak pawns protected with my bishop so that his queen wouldn't be able to break through my pawn structure.

if on move 14 white plays b3 instead and relocates the knight to d3. how do you break through?

Hrmm . . . I'm not sure. I'd probably try to initiate an attack on the kingside. But remember to take note that I suck at chess. >_<

none of us are world champions. you did win. you did beat i higher rated opponent. we are all attempting to improve. i hope my advise helps and maybe you can take advantage of a opponent that traps his bishop in the future.
