I was very happy with this game. Not only did I play the entire game with a plan in mind, but I did not make any tactical oversights and played a very active endgame. Also, the icing on the cake is I finally beat the Caro-Kann which up to this point in my short chess career, I have not beaten (but also not faced very often.)  This game was between me (USCF 1663 and my friend George, USCF 1633).

Very Nice. Looks like u studied the game for quite some time before posting. Very satisfying zugzwang.

Good win!  The Caro-Kann has given me my share of grief as well.

I like those diagonal moves by your king starting with move 28.  For me that
was your key to victory.

considering the plan you used in the game, when he played 13..a6, why did you not consider 14 f4? tgen if he trades it would seem to give you an improved version of what apparently won the game for you in this game.

I looked at f4 after 13..a6 but 14.. Nh5 sets white some problems, maybe even loses the e5 bishop for two pawns.
