he is helpless for he is useless as coach, go ahead, dream, why not? but don't teach if you are just as bad. i would tell you to man up, but defending him is just shaming him worse, actually, i think you are sebleb. regardless, go sleep, time for yor sleep.

Okay, please look at when I joined, then look at when SebLeb did and then do simple math...

Helpless and useless? He can teach people how to play chess! What a vauluable skill to begin with! I'm sure he can do more as well. People rated 600 would appricate his time.

Shaming him worse? lol. He has plenty of supporters. I think highly of him throughtout all this. Shame? After reading my post? Think about it...

It's 8:30 pm here... Did you know that? You saying these things make you're arguments (are they worthy of that name?) much worse. Sorry for you, leave the kid alone.

Heck, i don't care if you get giant growth on fingers for typing that horrible statement. Yes, you are shame to him as he is shame. No need for math, i think you are sebleb in disguise. regardless you are also helpless, go to sleep, no need for children to stay up late.

For one, my English is much better than SebLeb's who already mentioned English is not his first language...

You're third sentence is not worth responding too!

You mean responding *to. What are you grammar police? You are lucky someone like me even replies to you. Not worth responding and yet it is what you replied to "No need for math, i think you are sebleb in disguise. "

That is third sentence.

Umm... You get on my typo and call me the grammar police? Do you understand that term? I'm not responding to that sentence! A response adresses the content.

"A person like me"... Boy, I must be lucky huh!

samtoyousir

You're funny! Starting to think you were being sarcastic this whole time!

You're right, sometimes, I just can't help myself! Gotta stand up for what you believe in.

I'm just gonna leave it, there is nothing I can say. I've said everything I can without repeating or insulting the guy, which I won't be doing. zephyl is just another guy like me, not gonna hate him for it.

Who cares? Do you think he's maliciously trying to deceive people?

He's kid stuck in puberty for long time, big ego, useless coaching fake games and he already is maliciously deceiving people, faking ratings, games and information. You kids go to sleep now.

By the way, you make the second part look Iike I said the second paragraph. I'm only posting to let everyone know that you said that, not me

samtoyousir

Okay, here's my last point. I think this is at the heart of our disagreement.

You think only peolple who are "good enough" should be able to teach. You think untill Seb hits a certain point, then he should start teaching. If some one asks me to teach them how to play chess, move the peices and so on, should I tell them no? How about opening principles? His point was to think deep when you play, look farther than your inital thoughts. Valid point.

You honestly think a 1500 has nothing to teach a 900, which is plainly not true.

You don't have to be an expert to teach! I'm no expert at math by a long shot, but I teach plenty of people about it. Have I told them dumb things ever? Probably, the point is, we learn together. I learn more playing bad chess, then no chess.

Peace to you man, hope you see my point. I want you to know I don't hate you or anything, I just feel for SebLeb. I've been in his shoes.

samtoyousir

So you think the 900 cannot benefit at all? It will only do more harm than good? No way.

I've actually done TA for a chess class for elementary school kids for the past 2 years, and I would say I did a pretty good job. I never tried to "coach" the kids - I left that to the teacher. But when the kids had specific questions that I could answer, such as when they needed help with mate in 1 problems (and they did a lot of those basically every class), I was definitely qualified to help them, and I usually gave them a few hints, and they could figure it out themselves. So I think that there are some ways that lower-rated players can help beginners that know even less, but it's important to know your limits and make sure you aren't trying to teach something that you don't really understand yourself.

oh man ..... I don't think she understands the rules properly

idreesarif

or may be her account is supposed to be a joke .... she accepts a draw when she is 10 points worth of material up

idreesarif

I am just saying that she doesn't even know the rules, so she doesn't need a coach not even the Great SebLeb can teach her anything ....

Who know? perhaps she was low on time? don't you think it would be good if seb could coach her eh?

If this means that SebLeb will stop coaching us all and spend all his time in preparing her for a match against Yifan, then I think he should coach her

idreesarif

Watch out Polgar , Watch out Yifan .....

Well i think it would be good challenge, come un, weren't we pretty much the same when starting chess? weren't we witless and clueless until the kick of experience?

No, this is my first ever live game:

Perhaps she doesn't want it? It's a bit insulting to find a random user and say 'you could probably do with my coaching, right?'

idreesarif

her pic is not very clear but she seems beautiful :)
