Check for blunders before you make your move. Every move. No exceptions. It sounds easy but it takes practice and concentration. By learning this one thing your rating will become much higher than it is now.

There's plenty more to learn but you can pick a lot of that up while you're training your blunder checking. Playing learned opening Iines or intricate tactics won't help you much if you follow them up with a series of blunders.
