Hey Rich, I think I might be one of those savvy guys you're referring to.
Premoves are for live games, anyone can use it. Conditional moves are for daily games, and you need a premium membership in order to use it. I do see you have a gold membership, so that is strange that it isn't working for you. Must be a bug, or some update that I don't know about. (It might only be for Diamond members, now that I think about it.)
Premoves are for live games and conditional moves are for daily games (as @Drummer_GD_Elijah mentioned), but if I recall, you can still set one conditional move with the default membership; I believe diamond membership is simply for unlimited conditional moves you can set.
I doubt the premoves is a bug (although it might be). Since you didn't know the difference, then I'm guessing you didn't turn on premoves yet. You have to go to your chess.com settings to enable premoves.
Left sidebar near the very bottom: click "Settings" then go to "All Settings" and under the "Gameplay" section, the very top should read "Enable Premoves." Toggle this on, scroll down the page and press "Save."
Premoves will automatically be played (and take 0.1 seconds per premove) unless they are canceled, or a move is illegal.
Conditional moves are similar, but you type the variation of your moves and the opponent moves and the conditional move is triggered only if their exact move is played.

My PC HP is laptop is brand new. My kindle has the same problem.
My Smart Apple 12 cell, I don't use cause I'm 87 & not smart enough.
Support said because I'm paying GOLD member I would get faster attention.
I have to wait another 3 days. I haven't had attention since July 1st.
Check the spam folder of your email. It should have been responded to by now if you reported this July 1st. If not, I can direct this to Staff for a response.

It always worked when I played daily club games. Now it says reset Conditional moves..
It began to effect me when chess.com closed my account even though it was paid to July 29. . . .
They finally offered me three days to wait.

That is where i have gone to activate PRE-MOVES at least 8 times..
With no success.
I even ran my MacCafee and another VN I have.
Patience is a virtue.
I just cleared my cache in windows 11.
Going to test it now.
I just tested again it flashes RESET CONDITIONAL M0VES still.
I been playing all my games using the analyzes feature.
One time years ago I made 8 pre-moves forced moves for a mate. But now

Edge, by the way, is not half-bad these days... and I like that you can turn www.chess.com into something that behaves like an app, opening full screen in its own Window.
I just tried EDGE it reacted the same way. Tomorrow I will go to the library see if it works correctly there on my laptop and their computers maybe it's my router.

I lied never went to sleep. I went to google and downloaded the Chess,com ap.
It took me quite a long time. It was a BETA program and it was complicated but the pre-move feature worked. I didn't care for it so I will live without the pre-move feature on my PC.
I deleted the Google ap and everything it added. Pheww a wasted hour.
My guess is you'll be able to use pre-moves and conditional moves on Firefox.
If so, you likely don't want it as your regular browser, so you'll want to set up www.chess.com as an independant app using Firefox. You'll end uo with an icon on your desktop, on your taskbar too if you like.
Then, you never have to deal with Firefox. To play chess, you just double click the icon.
But I love Firefox. The ap for chess.com was a BETA version I've always used Firefox since it came out. But the pre-moves worked on my daily games.

two of my friends use conditional moves, and they don't have any sort of membership.
you need to set up chess to make premove available. Implicit value for account is OFF.

Yeah it's for unlimited conditional moves, you can only have 1 conditional move if you don't have diamond
I've tried to make provisional moves to work during my games,
but even went to to settings several time to reset them it never works.
I'm using a new PC, it started happening a month before I had to renew my membership.
Ive turned it off, turned it on, turn om PC on and off.
I has windows 10. I TRIED. FOX, OR GOGGLE CHROME,
i TRIED GETTING HELP SUPPORT BUT I GET A RUN AROUND.
