With a Knight & King vs King? No. He mentions the opponent having a Bishop. Theoretically if the Bishop blocks the correct square a Checkmate is possible.

Do u have the switch 2? I just got Mario Tennis Fever and its fun as hell. Also I've played so many Mario and Luigi games. I like the paper mario series the best tho I used to play on my 2ds
Hot take : as someone who got the Nintendo switch 2, it is extremely overrated. And the Nintendo games that rrleased on it are not that great either ngl. I never played paper marios, but they look cool tbh.

If you're tired of rapid, you could play Blitz and bullet especially as your games will be very easy. But if you still have fun in rapid and you improve there is no reason to change imo
Many low rated players aren't rated low because they are bad, as much as because they are inconsistent. I can talk from personal experience. I have had many games where I play like a 1500, and dominate, games where I play like a 100, and games where I play like a 1200 because I had one stupid move I missed and the rest were fine. They aren't bad at the game as in they can't spot good moves, they just aren't consistently able to.
Honestly, I think the range 1600-1900 is the most inconsistent. I think 1/3 to ½ of my games (it's Blitz but still) are decided by a one move blunder. And the rest of the games I feel like I am Magnus. Or sometimes it's in the same game, I find a brilliant game and just blunder a rook or smth. I think lower ranges dont have enough capacity/knowledge to find harder lines, like 5-6 moves (no offense meant). But you have a point here that your rating is just an average of your play, you do not always play like your rating (and it's because of that that you don't always draw against people of the same said “rating”)
I would argue it depends on what you consider to be low rated. Obviously players that are 100 ELO aren't great at the game, but once you get to 400-600 I've started to see a pattern in myself and in other players. Also, I think you are probably more likely to say that a certain range you play in a lot is going to seem more inconsistent than other ratings. People that commonly play in 500-700 because they don't progress beyond that point will say that range is more inconsistent than 1600-1900, because that is all they've experienced.
To your other point, sure 600 ELO players aren't overall as good as a 2000 player, but I've seen many that play like at least a 1000 until one blunder, at which point they don't recover. Sometimes that blunder will make them desperate and they end up playing even worse. They can easily reach 1000+ if they are more consistent. Once you become that consistent it becomes a matter of studying more openings, and just overall boosting your weak areas. But once you've done that you still need to become consistent at being good in those weak areas you've boosted.
Also I take no offense to your point that a 600 just overall doesn't have that same level of play. Unless I managed to play unnaturally well, and have that consistency, I would definitely get torched by 1500s. I'd say the highest I could beat if I started playing consistently would be around 1100, maybe 1200, though the latter is generous.
