this is an interesting opening who want to get out of book fast.lol and even 1...f6 vs any first move even nf3!!! so i won a few and lost a few to stupid time blunders and even bamboozed a cou[ple lower players in daily match play.

Yes, 1.f3 is disconcerting to players under 1600.  It is also an interesting way of  discovering  why  pawn moves are considered  only an aid  to development and not development as achieved with piece moves.

I mean, you can play any first move and beat weak players in fast time controls.

I just played it accidentally in blitz and won vs. a 1900-ish player. I intended to play 1. Nf3 and instead started the game behind the 8 ball.

f3 is known as the Barnes Opening and has some problems such as blocking the usual square for the knight and creating weakness on the kingside. You also have to watch out for the Fool’s mate. After this move, just play e4 and develop the knight some other way.

Ive played it in Daily Matches with mixed results. just experimenting, even Carlson has tried it.
