5 Books

Hi Guys,

I have been able to play chess since i was young but never really worked at it, i guess i was always around 1200 or so give or take, lately i have working on improvement using my new premium membership here and a few other resources, i have definately seen my game improve, my current rating is 1570+ however i believe it to be more of a 1300-1400 as i had two resignations in a tournament, but i have had some decent checkmates in it also including a #14 against a 1400+ player so i am definately improving.

What i want to know after all that preamble waffle is if you could choose 5 Chess books at my current level to help improve my game, like i said i have the resources here which i am using daily but i enjoy a good book so if you could choose 5 which would they be so i can collate a list and get on amazon.

Cheers in advance (i am sure something similar has been asked before so my apologies)

Edit: how do i change the title i meant 5 books not 10 sorry.

Silman end game course and reassess your chess are two great books. Just do lots of puzzles as well.

Endgame:Silman's Complete Endgame Course by Jeremy Silman

Strategy:How To Reassess Your Chess by Jeremy Silman

Openings:Winning Chess Openings by Yasser Seirawan

Tactics: Tactics trainer should be enough.

Nice one, thank you.

Pick one stick with it until you are finished with it and then think about buying another 1 or 2.
