Both of them were born in 1983.Gu Li is the No.1 weiqi player of China.He won world weiqi champion seven times.Li Shishi is the No.1 weiqi player of South Korea.He won world weiqi champion fourteen times.
They played 36 weiqi games each other.Gu Li 17 won,18 lost,1 "draw".The ten games will be play in Beijing,Shanghai,Chengdu,South Korea,Shangri-la,Lhasa,Chongqing,Hong Kong,Wuhu...from January 2014 to November 2014.

I didn't know what the games weiqi was until you posted pictures.  I had the same thing happen when talking to a Korean person who called it baduk.

In english we call it go.

 Go is not a good name, it is a common word lead to misunderstanding.

 

Baduk is not good , because it is Bad-uk.Weiqi is the best.It is a unique word,and weiqi is origind in china.

well it is a bit misleading: both are not actually dominating players in their country, it is not neither very sure they are the best, I would say more a Petrosjan-Spassky ! ;)

They are still top player in their countries.Both in top 10.Because weiqi is very complex,and china and south korea have so many talent players,no one can dominating the game now.
