@Tlowe999 - If everyone on here told you it (the ratings jump you seek) cannot be done, would you simply not try? What difference does it make if anyone believes it can or cannot be done? Everyone and every situation is different. There are stories of prodigies and lifetime climbers who took longer. The question you should ask, but don't seem to be asking is - how can you identify what you are weak at and improve it? That will most certainly improve your rating. I am not particularly good at chess and just starting to learn myself, but I have done a lot of "study" in my life and improving by accident takes a lot longer than directed study. If you don't know how to spot your own weaknesses you may want to invest in a short session or two with a coach so you can find out what to work on.
