Not if you keep excelling at buller and not doing well in slow chess... You should actually not join too many daily games at once and put effort analyzing your positions

Should be easy. You are 1500 in Blitz and Rapid which requires more skill than daily in my opinion. Just spend more than 10 seconds on each move...

Are you sure? I don’t really agree, imo daily is the most accurate test of playing strength.

Well, in a 15 10 game you really have to play chess, and if you are not good at tactics or don't know the right plan you will get into trouble. Both players have the same condition, so the better player will usually win.

Daily is basically a time/resource odds game. A lot depends on how much time/energy you are willing to invest.

Are you willing to check the database in the opening move by move and to go through the resulting middle game positions of the model games?

Are you willing to analyse the board for an hour or two in a complicated position in order to find a winning continuation, or do you just spend 2 minutes on it because you have better things to do?

Also, being tactically sharp and being able to imagine the board without moving the pieces is crucial in chess. In daily you can reduce your blunders by simply shuffling your pieces around.

Thanks. Off-topic question, why did you change your username?

In my opinion, a 1500+ daily rating is a very easy goal for you. It took me like 6 months or so to hit 1500+ daily (but it gets harder from there, by... a lot...) from the start of me playing daily and since I consider you to be a better chess player than me (as of writing this wink.png) you should reach it without any trouble in a way shorter time period then I did. But still, I would like to give you some very useful tips to help you reach 1500+ in a way shorter time period than me:

Tip #1 (Important: stop using this tip after you reach 1500+ daily)

In my opinion the most important tip. Play as many games as you possibly can (I personally recommend 100-110 daily games). It could take anywhere from 1 day to a couple of months to finish daily games so if you want your rating to improve quickly then play more games. I know this tip contradicts other posts in this forum but from my experience (at my peak I played 140+ concurrent daily games) this is a good idea because especially at your current level where there are lots of timeouts by other players, basically the more games you play the more points, you will get. You don't even have to worry that much about the accuracy of your game as 1300-1400 daily players still treat their games like a blitz game. And it won't even waste that much of your time! I only made 20 moves every day when I was at the peak of my daily game and if roughly I spent 2 minutes on each game, I would only spend like 40 minutes overall on daily every day(which is like 2-3 10 minute rapid games). Maybe after you hit 1500+ daily you should start trimming your games to 20-30 games as the player's strength increase drastically and you gain fewer points from lower-rated opponents.

Tip #2

DON't Timeout tilts on your daily games. Thankfully this hasn't happened to me yet but I have known people who literally lost 300+ points in a space of 2-3 days just because they forgot to make their moves and (if they have premium) used up all their vacation time. I know this uses up a chunk of your time but you have to sacrifice some of your time if you want to achieve a high daily rating... And usually, these big timeout tilts would erase all the gains the player had over a few months and would seriously crunch their morale for playing daily games in general...

Tip #3

The final tip... (especially after you hit 1500+ daily) take more time on each move. After you hit 1500+ daily the players in this area are considerably better than 1100-1400 rating daily players so you would have to spend more time thinking about each move. The great thing about daily is that most of the time you have A LOT of time calculating a move in daily so remember to use that advantage. This is why (as I mentioned in Tip #1) start trimming down your daily games when you reach 1500+ daily (again, preferably 20-30 games)as you would need more time to calculate on each move as players who area 1500+ in daily won't just leave pieces en prise (at least most of the time wink.png). So once you reach 1500+ daily I recommend you to take at least 3-5 minutes on each move (especially in the middle game and complicated endgames).

Anyways good luck on your chess and hope you hit 1500 and beyond in Daily Chess happy.png

Of course it will be achievable for you to surpass 1500. It is has to be exactly 1500 for new year's eve, though, I think it's pretty difficult.

Whoa, thanks. But now I think you can probably best me in daily 😅

It's very realistic actually....I think that if you play enough games and win you'll get there...
