1800 blitz is not bad. I remember when I (on my old account) was a ~1800 USCF player who thought 1800s were really strong players, and was ecstatic when I got 1800 there for the first time.
Now I feel bad when I score worse than 10-1 against them

Same, tbh 1800 blitz on chess.com really doesn't equate to anything magnificent in USCF rating. That would probably be around idk 1400-1500 USCF? I'm pretty sure bad at blitz so this is somewhat of an accomplishment.
I think 1800 blitz is considerably better than 1400-1500 USCF for most. As comparison, when I was 1400+, I think I had a blitz rating of around 1500-1600(?), on my old account. Note I was going through very rapid improvement at that time. I consider myself now, and always, slightly mediocre (but not *bad*) at blitz relative to others w/ similar classical ratings.
First you think 1500 is not thaat bad.. you have seen worse.. way worse.. Then it comes 1800 you think how much hard it was to reach it and you feel so much stronger now.. wayy better than those patzers.. but then.. you see 1800 is nothing special.. you still make silly mistakes and you dont know that much about chess.. and you want 2000, because 2000 oh yes that is the real goal. It has the same first digit that Masters and even GMs have... You dream dream.. and one day yes i am 2000!!!.. feeling the power.. you can play and some times defeat a master.. soo great.. but.. yet you are so high rated but same time.. so low rated.. title is so close and yet soo far away.. you are still nobody in chess.. You put so much time and energy and for what.. some 1800 can still steal a game from you even lower rated.... Then you have wished you were still that 1500 rated that enjoyed so much chess , but now you have to play by rules.. some memorized openings.. no more fun stuff...

Then I never want to leave 1500!
Blitz is a tradeoff between what you get on the board and what you get on the clock.
There's no use investing a great deal of time, in order to get a great position that you won't have the time to convert.
You need to be honest with yourself and aware of your limitations.
Ask yourself, is the position I'm trying to get worth the time I'm investing? If I spend that extra amount of time and my play does bring me what I'm looking for, can I really convert with what I will have left on the clock?
Otherwise, simply play moves that are "good enough" and stay up on the clock.
The quality of your fine judgment of this balance is pretty much your blitz rating.
Objectively speaking, 1800 is a very high blitz rating for me, since I never play online. That's why I'm rated 2178 but am a 1400 on Chess.com
<Edguitarock> Exactly !
I should mention that I often play fantastic crushing games in blitz, positionally and tactically, WITHIN the time frame - so it is possible to pull it off.
Of course, my opponents also do that to me, and with great regularity.
When you reach 1800 and get excited for 10 seconds, before you realize that 1800 is not really an accomplishment and now you have to go for 1900/2000. -.-

Yes, I've been playing a lot more chess(including blitz) and I study a lot more frequently. I have a lot of material that I rotate between when I study. I made a breakthrough from 1600 last year, I don't know how, but I did.

Well, if you are going to spend lot's of time on chess like I do, then I should strive to improve, otherwise, all the time I spent is useless.
