Happy New Years!
For me, my chess resolution for 2021 is to hit 1600 - 1800 which is very ambitious but I think I can do it. But I would love to have an official FIDE rating of 1600 which will mean also entering my first tournament! Specifically, I want to be able to calculate further and accurately as well as learn about actual strategy and just improve everywhere, there is so much to learn and I am right at the start line. Happy New Years.
My resolution is not not play blitz the whole night. Actually I shouldn’t play any blitz, and begin to play 30 minutes or longer games.
I would like to get stronger in tactics, something like 2500 in puzzles in chess.com. Not very realistic, as I struggling to stay above 2000 right now.

Nice goal. I'm around 1050 in Rapid and Daily. I'm going to shoot for 1300+ in both categories by the end of the year.

Learn pawn structures of the openings i play most.. need to read and watch content.. 2ndly would like to expand my endgame scope.. and lastly learn deeper about sicilian defense.. using chessable for that currently.

Hi! Happy new year! My goal is to simply get better at the game. I’m really enjoying myself playing the game, and I want to practice more and get a better rating and maybe win some more games, that would be nice. I have no specific goal in mind, because playing chess is fun and a break for my brain (I focus on the game instead). But I want a higher rating 🥺♟

Hard work? Not really, at least not with my goals. Chess is something to do in the free time. I have a lot of hobbies, but chess is the only one (beside tennis) which I like to do every day. My main goal is to understand better the game of strong players.

My goal is to get more serious about chess this year, follow a more structured training and see if I can get to a club level instead of my current dabbeling in 1400 chess.com. I would also like to see if I can get into the local OTB chess scene (If the pandemic will allow it this year).

Finally!! I broke 2500 on blitz today!!! This was my lifetime ambition in chess! i waited for this moment my entire life!
Hey guys. Hope y'all are in good shape and spirits as you have entered the new year 2021, and with this year I really hope that you might have set some goals that you would like to achieve in Chess and if you haven't set it yet, do it today because tomorrow never comes. So don't wait and write down here that what you're gonna do with your chess this year and how you gonna do it, because this thought will keep ticking on your mind and your inner self will keep questioning you that what have you done so far to achieve your goal? 😎
Regarding Me: My resolution for 2021 is to get 2500 rapid and 2500 blitz rating at chess.com as well as lichess & I'm quite hopeful that I'll plan and work accordingly to achieve my goal, and perhaps a year later when I come back to this thread, I'll be able to held my head high and even if I don't achieve it after a year I would be satisfied that I was atleast ambitious unlike some other players.
