Please, please.... puleeeeeze let Vincent Keymer finish top 3 so he can play in the candidates. He rightfully should've got a spot at the fide grand swiss. He's #4 now in the world rankings. But winning 6 matches straight in the world cup is like climbing Mt Everest on one leg.

8 days from today the tournament really starts (round 2) because the top 50 get byes for round 1. That'll be the 4th of November.

Fun fact: There are 2 players with ratings under 2000. Ratings of 1994 & 1972. Have fun y'all.

Gukesh shouldn't even play. In fact, none of the people who are already in the candidates should play either. They're just interfering with other players chances to get into the candidates which a top 3 finish earns them.

Why is Gukesh on the poster? He's the only player who definitely can't get into the Candidates Tournament, no matter what happens.
