Hello GM Jesse, thanks as always for looking at our games. Here are my thoughts on another game I couldn't quite finish off.
Hello GM Jesse, thanks as always for looking at our games. Here are my thoughts on another game I couldn't quite finish off.
Great annotations from SmithyQ, as always. For others submitting a game: it really helps and makes the analysis more interesting if you can give me some insight into how you saw the position during the game and how you think about it now. SmithyQ is a good example to follow.
Also, please tell us what the time control was.
Honestly I feel like I don't have a game interesting enough to be looked at by a GM, much less 3 hours!
Should it be a certain length, should we avoid posting games where we win... maybe some people feel like me and it's sort of intimidating.

I could be wrong, but I don't think he's gonna be analyzing one game for 3 hours.
GM Jesse used to analyze one select game each month, but recently he changed the format, so he analyzes as many games as he can in the 3-hours. He goes quite deep, and I find his analysis honest and practical. Having a strong player review one of your games is incredible, and I highly recommend submitting a game you played, especially one that you don't fully understand.
I don't know whether I was too aggressive, too stupid, or both. I know I played poorly, and would like to know what I should have done differently. This was a three-day Daily Chess game, so I can't blame time trouble for my mistakes.
Don't be intimidated Preggo, we've seen games from every level at the final Tuesday of the month analysis sessions!
Hi Jesse, here is a USCF rated game I played at the NIH chess club a few months back. This is my highest rated scalp so far. He was 1978 and I was 1606 when we played this game. Time control: 90/40 and 60 SD with 5s delay. I (Vishnu Sreekumar) have the black pieces.
This is a more recent game that I played at the same NIH chess club against an 1830 player. He was teaching himself the Benko gambit and this was his first game trying it out. If you think this is a more instructive game than the one above, please feel free to use this one instead. Same time controls: 90/40 and 60 SD with 5s delay.
Hi Everyone! Our show got cancelled because of the blitz tournament. But we are now rescheduled for next Tuesday. Here is the link to the new thread; https://www.chess.com/forum/view/general/three-hour-lesson-with-gm-jesse-kraii-post-your-game
If you posted your game here you don't need to post again, I'll remember! Hopefully we'll also get our normal time slot at the end of the month.
