I just got finished playing the worst and UGLIEST game of chess I have ever played.  And I have to thank CHESS.com  for their totally pathetic programs.  We must have done 3 move rep about 50 times... but he was AHEAD on Time at like 10 minutes to 7 mintues with a K vs a K and a pawn.  lol.  and he was going to WIN on time, just moving the same moves back and forth.  PATHETIC.  I will try a NEW site.  Thanks.

Seriously disappointed.

If a 3 fold repitition occurs all you have to do is hit the draw button and the game will be drawn automatically.

Shivsky

Can't you claim a draw by force in this situation? I reviewed your game and you certainly qualify as the position repeated itself thrice (not 3 move repetition as you had stated)

No one hits any button in bullet chess other than your chess pieces.

I agree with the OP. 3-move rule should be automated as a draw.

Chest purists would point out that the rules of chess state that the three fold draw must be claimed (as is current site policy).  I think a check box with the option to "automatically claim 3fold/50 move draws" would be a great compromise.

Whatever new site you settle on, you'll probably get more enjoyment out of it if you learn the rules of chess.

Well that is an en passant remark.

There's nothing wrong with the site.  As others have already pointed out, you have to CLAIM the draw yourself.  It's not automatic.  Those are the rules of chess.

Perhaps you can find a site which claims the draw for you, and changes your undies, too.

I could use a site like that.

I've had teh same underpants on for 14 years now.

At least I think they're underpants, it could just be dry caked-on mess that's formed a material like appearance.....

Well, thanks for most of your replies.  This is a good site.  I was a little upset at the moment.  I just did NOT know I had to claim the draw.  Nor did I know how to claim the draw.

This is a good site.  Thanks for all your feedback. And I was under the impression that any time the board reaches the same position 3 times, it becomes a draw automatically. Perhaps a Link can pop up when ever the board repeats itself 3 times and offer you the choice to draw.  I assumed the draw button was a request to your opponent for a draw, not exactly a forced draw when the situation arises.

Thanks again.  Greg

When the position is one where a draw can be claimed, the "offer draw" button changes to read "claim draw", but otherwise looks unchanged.  It can be easy to miss if you're not already looking for it.  Also, a draw can only be claimed while a repeated position is present-- if another move is made to an unrepeated postion, the draw by repetition can no longer be claimed and the button changes back to "offer draw" until/unless a future 3+ time repeated position arises.
