1. As white don't open with 1.D4 because your queenside has a chance to be under pressure by black with Bb4 and it may check the king and may check again when you block
2 A minor Piece bishop-knight is WORTH a check no matter first or second or third
3. A queen or a rook is not worth your first check unless you havent checked in the whole game and you have a checking combination. If you have the option to check the king with a rook and the queen then its worth it but if you dont get your third check after you sac ur rook/queen then u might be in a little trouble.
