365 Chess Master Lessons: Take One a Day to Be a Better Chess Player By Andrew Soltis

I have not read the book through but have seen the first few from the book sample available on Amazon. The sample includes the first 39 days and part of the 40th day.
Looks good but a lot of dedication needed to spent the necessary time every day for a year to finish the book.
All of the games are minatures. Here are the first two days:
Day 1 - Take What He Gives
Almost every move by your opponent has good - and less good - features. You win by exploiting the latter
The first game is Jan Timman - Mustafa Ahmed Bakali, Nice 1974, Scandinavian game
Andy Soltis says "6...Nd5? is a serious error, but only if White appreciates what Black has given him. Black would be solid after 7.Bc4? c6 8. Nc3 e6"
7.Qb3! attacks both the knight and the b-pawn
7.b6 is to defend the pawn but 7...Bc8 would be better
8.Ne5!
Black resigns.
Question 1: What happens after 8...Be6 ?
Hint:
6...Be6 would not be the most solid move. Here is the board position:
