3d pieces for OTB vision

Hi, I have the opportunity to play more chess games OTB now after playing years of online chess.

I found however that my OTB vision is sometimes weaker than my "2d online pieces vision" (blundering pieces more often, not seeing distant pieces etc)

Do you think switching to 3d pieces online helps OTB vision in real life?

I’ve never liked 3D chess simulations on computer screens.

If you need to go back and forth between a computer and a real chess board, spend immense time with both. I see the same relationships whether I can smell the varnish on the wood or am looking at a 2D screen. But, I’ve spent many thousands of hours with both over a period of several decades. Longer with physical sets. Possibly more time with chess software and online play.
