40 move game without moving the king

I don't remember ever winning a game like this, where it lasted this many moves, and there was never really a time when I should have moved the king.

Funny how that sort of thing works out when you are rated 814 points above your opponent.

I started 50 daily games in a row as an unrated player, these were the opponents I got.

I didn't make this topic to brag or disrespect my opponent. I've played chess for over 10 years, and I've been massively mismatched before, but I don't remember a game where I was happy with all my moves and on move 40 my king was still on its original square.

When I was a little kid, a.k.a. 2-3 years ago, I drew in 33 or 34 moves with black pieces. I did not move my c8 bishop and we had a bishop, queen and pawns.

Ok, maybe we could expand it like that.

Ending a game, in an endgame position, and still having a piece on its original square.

Pretty rare I bet. Even more rare for that piece to be the king.

Yeah not moving the king is pretty rare, but 40 moves is about the average length of a chess game.
