Come on guys! Let's get it going!!
60 Seconds Board Analysis Challenge

White is better, after his move he's up a queen for a bishop(Qxb4), and then queen can enter 7th rank, so b7 should be protected, probably with b6. h3 should be played at some point making back rank mate impossible and freeing rooks to go

+1
White is easily better, with a huge material advantage and no immediate threat of being mated.
And I know we're supposed to analyze the position ourselves before looking at other peoples' comments, but I saw EvgeniyZh's analysis first when I clicked on the thread, and I didn't have anything to add.
Hi all,
I created a thread earlier ( http://www.chess.com/forum/view/general/sizing-up-a-board-within-seconds ) on "Sizing Up a Board Within Seconds" and mentioned how I was in awe of GMs and other experts, who are able to take just a few seconds to size up a board and game progress. Within less than a minute, it seems some elite players are able to tell you things like:
+Who is Winning
Let me kick things off with this position (WHITE to move):
+What Major Threats Exist
...and perhaps some other details (e.g., a possible counter-play move or maybe what files are good for either BLACK or WHITE, etc.)
This thread is a fun invitation to everyone to post a board position (anything you want) and the next three poster below that position get to comment/analyze it within 60 seconds or less. Afterwards, we start anew. Someone else posts a random position and three more people get to comment/analyze the position. And the cycle continues.
Let's see if we can train our "quick analysis" skills! Or, at minimum, have fun trying.
You have 60 seconds! Enjoy!!
[EDIT: You can disregard which side it is to move if you like. We'll leave that optional.]
