7 queens are no fun. Stalemates can occur with a mis-step (oe even an unintended mouse-slip).

 

Promotion to bishops are nicer.

At my level, when I have at least 4 excess pawns and my opponents do not resign, I will not promote them to queens.

 

Knights or bishops are nicer.
